With the arrival of spring and the extended daylight, it is time to spruce up the yard. Planning the vegetable garden, feeding and trimming the flowers and shrubs, and creating outdoor spaces you can enjoy throughout the year. Spaces may include cozy seating areas, lounging areas, reading niches, garden art, and entertaining.
I found great DIY outdoor projects that bring a unique and personal vibe to your yard. My projects this year include completing a rustic outdoor dining table, a trellis for over the dining table with rustic chandelier, prep table for the barbeque, revitalizing the rose garden with new roses, edging, paths, and fountain, and creating a farmhouse style porch swing (love porch swings!). I am so excited to finish these projects and relax in the yard as the summer days gently float by.
Lighting is important in your outdoor spaces as much as indoors. You want just the right amount of light for the area. For example, paths need a different light than a dining area. Sometimes you want something special and fun for lighting. Here are a few ideas:
Fire Pit & S’mores
Hopefully, these projects give you some inspiration to create a relaxing and comfortable outdoor space. Maybe you add great seating, hang a hammock, or build an awesome fire pit for s’mores night. Whatever the project, make it your own, put a spin on it, and enjoy it!
