Love Dare Day 16
A few weeks ago fellow blogger Tausha Wierlo of Taushopointo approached a group of bloggers about the Love Dare. I decided to dive right in and I am so glad I did! The Love Dare has been a wonderful process to help adjust my vision back onto what is important in my marriage.
Day 16 – Love Intercedes
Day 16 of the Love Dare Challenge focuses on the core of love. I believe love is a choice to do what we can within our marriage and for our spouse.
I am not suggesting being the hand servant to our loved one. Absolutely not! If you know me you know that is the direct opposite of what I mean. Rather, I am learning marriage is how I decide to conduct myself. The choices I make in action and words. Do I express my respect and appreciation to my spouse as I would like it done to me? Do I step up in the marriage and act accordingly?
Love is more than hugs and kisses. It is praying for my husband’s healthy both physical and mental; praying for God’s desires for him; praying for his protection; praying for wisdom and blessings. Praying includes thanking God for giving me a talented, hardworking husband who is a wonderful father.
I strongly believe that any relationship, any religion, any faith benefits from introspection and spiritual support of their loved one. I also believe the age of the relationship is not directly related to the expression and acts of love. Meaning, if you are together 1 year or 20 years the Love Dare has something valuable to offer your relationship.
Marriage is a beautiful union between two committed people brought together by God’s will and a love that goes deeper than the superficial love of movies.
I have been married for 23 years. During this time I have learned much about love, commitment, and supporting my spouse. I can honestly say I have a deeper love for my husband today than 23 years ago.
The Love Dare 40 Day Challenge is a collective of bloggers hosted by Tausha at Taushopointo. Every day a different blogger shares a daily dare, their story, and a wonderful printable. Tausha will have all the Love Dare printables available on her blog every Sunday.
Tomorrow Michelle Gardner from Fun On A Dime will share Day 17 Love Dare challenge. Don’t forget to visit us on Instagram #bloggerlovedare
Happy Love Dare Day 16!
