This week I want to focus on nature images. My favorite photography subjects are nature and architecture. This may sound strange, but I have a hard time taking good photos of people. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I never really like my images of people.
Photo Friday Nature
Each image was taken either in my yard or nearby. Some times I like to do a walk about with my camera. In some cases it is more a drive about! I think the reason I love photographing nature is cemented in my appreciation for the beautiful world we have the privilege of living in. As I grow older I appreciate the little things that I took for granted in my younger years. The saying:
Stop and smell the roses.
is more true for me today than ever in my life. Photo Friday Nature takes a look at what the world around us has to offer in beautiful, stunning images. Many are merely in our own backyards and poised for discovery through a lens.

Oaks are plentiful in our valley. They have such a graceful canopy and shape.

Have a fabulous weekend! Take your camera out and capture some spontaneous shots.
Cheers!
You have a beautiful skill at photography! There’s something about the way you capture the flowers, especially, that I loved. Gorgeous pictures, thank you for sharing them! I must admit I’m jealous that it’s sunny there and snowing here, hehe

Lol, Stefanie! I am so sorry you have snow. Brrr. It will get colder here soon — no snow but hopefully lots of rain (we need it!). Thank you for your kind words. I am still learning photography but it is a fun hobby anyone can pick up — even with a phone camera. Try to stay warm! Tammi
You have an absolutely beautiful yard! Thanks for sharing the pictures with us!

Thank you, Susannah. It is a lot of work to maintain but when I grab photos like these it is all worth it! Have a wonderful day — Tammi
I much prefer to take photographs of nature than people; it doesn’t pose and it never blinks.
I love the shot of the sherbert rose, the colours are quite stunning!

Hi Debbie, again, lol! Nature is much more cooperative than people! I take photos of the family and family events but that’s it. I don’t think I would ever like being a portrait photographer — I don’t think I’m very good at it. The rose is one variety of many in my rose garden. My house has a full rose garden with vintage roses. That one is a favorite because the coloring is so complex. Thanks for stopping by twice! Tammi
I bet your garden is quite stunning when the roses are in full bloom! I have two rather tatty/dead looking pot roses, I am no gardener!…But I do love cactus and the flowers they produce. Low maintenance and very forgiving…

It is an amazing sight when all of the rose bushes are in bloom. But they are a lot of work to keep them blooming. It is worth it though! Thanks for visiting, Debbie.
