I recently wrote a post about small office accessories and how to add beauty to your work space. Of course, every work space should have something beautiful and delightful to lift the spirit. I strongly believe that beautiful objects and images add to one’s creativity and well-being.
Small Office Solutions
A wonderful reader mentioned her delemma with space. Her current situation did not allow for a dedicated work space with a desk to accessories or wall space to enhance. Rather, her work space was multifunctional for a group. This made me think about the situations many of us find ourselves where we cannot add work-related furniture and decor; rather we must make a space function for different people and purposes. How to we make that space function as a work space too? How do we introduce work-related and work-necessary items into a space that’s primary function is not work?
Perhaps it is an apartment, studio, condo, shared living arrangement, or even trailer that you work and live. Finding multi-functional items to use within a small to no-space situation is a challenge.
Here are some great items that may help solve these space and function challenges.

The great news is there are amazing solutions on the market for different spaces and situations.
The shelving with basket storage is perfect to store files, papers, and office supplies neatly and out of sight. The ottoman is amazing! It stores files and supplies neatly and out of sight. this piece works perfectly in a living room, family room, dining room, or bedroom.
If space allows a small, stylish desk is a nice alternative. Add the shelving units with basket storage and a home office can fit in a small space.
Small spaces or areas of your home dedicated to other purposes can be used for a home office. A little research and creativity can result in a comfortable, attractive, and functional home office solution.
Cheers!

You are very kind, Roslyn. I very much enjoy creating interesting and beautiful images — especially collages. I use a combination of Canva, PicMonkey, Polyvore, and stock photo resellers. The feature image was done using Canva — an amazing tool! I hope you have an opportunity to try it.

Amazing pieces, Tammi. Working from a home office can be challenging and one of the best investments I made last year was to purchase a portable laptop desk that has made me more mobile within the house. Certainly an investment to consider!
